A Welcome Message from our Commander

Welcome to the Vero Beach Power Squadron (VBPS) website.  The VBPS is one of more than 400 squadrons nationwide that are dedicated to making boating safer by teaching boating classes for all types of vessels.  Our goal is to promote safe boating while working within the United States Power Squadron mission statement:

“To promote recreational boating skills and boating safety through education, hands-on training, and civic activities while providing fellowship for members.”.

Locally, we have more than 200 members who enjoy recreational boating activities using paddle craft, sailing and motorized vessels. We offer a wide array of boating classes that are available to members and the general public and our members actively engage in volunteer opportunities across a wide variety of local organizations.  Owning a boat is not a requirement for membership.

Our Squadron building is located in Vero Beach on the barrier island, right on the banks of the Indian River Lagoon, and the Intracoastal Waterway.

For information regarding the educational, social or boating activities provided by our Squadron, please contact us here .
