The second side of our United States Power Squadron Mission Triangle is Civic Service.

The Vero Beach Power Squadron has a long and proud history of supporting the community and volunteering.

Activities


  • Teaching basic boating classes to the public, ABC

  • Helping with local environmental events such as the Treasure Coast Waterway Clean-up

  • Participating in local boat shows

  • Working with youth in events such as Boys and Girls Club Fishing Day, twice a year

  • Renovating a home for theYouth Sailing Foundation of Indian River

  • National Safe Boating Week -Wear Your Life Jackets Day

  • Updating nautical charts for NOAA – Cooperative Charting Program

  • Providing information booths at community events such as the Hibiscus Festival

We Support

  • Performing maritime security patrols

  • Checking boats for safety at no charge, Vessel Safety Checks

  • Helping to raise money for the Environmental Learning Center

  • Teaching youth about safe boating by means of our annual Youth Poster Contest

  • On going support for the Youth Sailing Foundation

  • Supporting community shelters

  • Donating to our troops overseas
